It is with great sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of our beloved Angelo Carusi on September 30, 2026, with his family by his side.
Born on December 4, 1966, in Avezzano, L’Aquila, Italy, Angelo lived a life filled with laughter, family, friendship and a deep love for his Italian heritage. Known for his adventurous spirit, sense of humour and unmistakable personality, Angelo had a way of bringing laughter to those around him and forming friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Angelo dedicated more than 40 years of his life to the art of hairdressing, building a career rooted in talent, passion and a genuine connection with others. For more than 35 of those years, he became a familiar and respected presence in downtown Kamloops. To many, Angelo was far more than their hairdresser. Generations of families sat in his chair, and over the years, clients became friends and friends became family.
Beyond his professional work, Angelo had an incredibly generous heart and a deep compassion for others. He freely gave his time and talent to provide haircuts for those less fortunate and was always willing to help someone in need. His generosity, humour, stories and unique knack for making people laugh left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Angelo was immensely proud of his Italian roots and carried that pride with him throughout his life. His love for family, his free spirit, his sense of adventure and, of course, his endless jokes and infectious laughter are among the many things that will be remembered and deeply missed.
Angelo will be lovingly remembered by his son, Angelo; his father, Tino (Ursula) Carusi; his siblings Augie (Karen) Carusi, Ed (Lisa) Carusi and Rina (Ralph) Calendino; as well as his nieces and nephews Sal (Kristina), Annissa (Alex), Mason, Marly, Josh (Kaitlyn) and Taylor (Ky) and Great Uncle to Stella and Gianina.
Angelo was predeceased by his beloved mother, Anna Carusi (Marinucci), in 2012, as well as other cherished family members in Italy, France and Canada.
Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Angelo’s life. Prayers will be held on October 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 635 Tranquille Road, Kamloops, BC. Funeral Mass will be held on October 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, with interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
As an alternative to flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to the Kamloops Hospice Association (Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice) in honor of Angelo's memory.
Angelo leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter and love, and a lasting impact on the many lives he touched. He will be forever loved, deeply missed and never forgotten.
Arrangements entrusted to Schoening Funeral Services 250-374-1454.
