1963-2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dan DeWalt on July 13th, 2015 at the age of 52. Dan was born in Surrey, BC and moved throughout the province, settling in Kamloops.
Dan leaves behind his loving wife Linda, children Korah (Mike) Gagnon, Blake DeWalt, Nathan (Megan) Sandbach and Natasha Sandbach and three precious grandchildren, Brandon Robertson, Jordyn Gagnon and Hunter Sandbach. Survived by his mother, Louise Hutchinson and predeceased by his fathers Mickey DeWalt and John Hutchinson, Dan also had four sisters, Denita-deceased (Ron) Jackson; Sherry (Tim) Burns; Tami-deceased (Dave) Jules; and Renae (James) Young. In addition, Dan leaves behind numerous aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, friends and his local #097 brothers, all of whom Dan cherished deeply.
Dan was an Iron Worker by trade and above all else cared about his family, friends and his work buddies. He provided for his family with great generosity and was always kind and willing to share a great story. Dan could be counted on as a friend and relative, always lending a helping hand and offering the shirt off his back.
Join us for a celebration of Danny’s life: Viewing, Friday, July 17th at Schoenings Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm and a Celebration of Life, at the Calvary Community Church on Saturday, July 18th, 2015 at 1:00pm.
