Born in Kamloops, BC on March 29, 1947 to parents Ken and Beth Booth. Lived at 409 MacKenzie Avenue. Attended school in Kamloops. On April 1966 she married Lloyd George Woods and moved to Hudson Hope. On May 8, 1967 her 1st daughter Karen Elizabeth was born in Kamloops at the Royal Inland Hospital. They then moved to Mica Creek where Lloyd worked for the payroll department for the new hydro electric dam. It was here that their 2nd daughter Dawn Sophia Zoe was born on March 10, 1970. Mica was a small community and the family enjoyed being a part of the close knit community and participated in many clubs and social groups. After the dam was completed the family moved to Armstrong BC where they built a small hobby farm on 10 acres. Both girls completed high school there and moved on to Kamloops to attend College.
Darlene and Lloyd separated in 1988 and sold the farm. Darlene then moved into a smaller trailer in the Pallisades trailer park and had begun working at K-mart. Which eventually became Zellers. Mom started her relationship "Chico" Zivan Vuckovic in 1994. They were together for almost 20 years.
Darlene retired from Zellers in November 2012, she enjoyed 1 year of retirement spending more time with her daughters who both live in Kamloops.
On November 29, 2013 after a brief illness she was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, she fought valiantly for more time but the cancer was not to be stopped and on December 30, 2013 she passed away with her 2 daughters, Karen and Dawn and son in law Keith at her side. Mom never wanted to linger in illness and she got that wish.

Brother Hugh (Cheryl Booth) , sister Mary (Stanley Frazier), sister in law Crystle Booth as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Darlene was predeceased by her parents Ken and Beth Booth and her brother Tom Booth.
Mom was born and raised here in Kamloops, where she married her 1st husband Lloyd Woods. They lived in Hudson Hope, Mica Creek and then Armstrong where mom continued to live. Mom and Chico would have celebrated their 20th anniversary on December 31.
She was a stay at home mom to her two daughters until the mid 1980’s when she began working at K-mart which then became Zellers until her retirement last year. She was a dedicated employee who worked for over 25 years.
Just when retirement was allowing us to spend more time together with you Mom you were taken from us…you were so brave through this last month and it was our honor to be by your side. Momma we will miss you.
