Ebba Marie Falkingham

Ebba Marie Falkingham passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at the age of 96 in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Born on October 18, 1928, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she lived a vibrant and fulfilling life. She spent many years in Calgary, Alberta, before retiring with her husband Morley to their dream home in Sorrento, British Columbia.

Ebba’s happiest days were spent on the shores of Shuswap Lake, where she lovingly hosted her children and grandchildren each summer. These cherished gatherings were filled with swimming, waterskiing, tubing, rock collecting, and her legendary campfire snacks. Her laughter, bright and infectious, became part of the very rhythm of those summer days—impossible to forget and deeply missed.

Ebba was predeceased by her beloved husband, Morley; her parents, Ted and Irene Larson; her sister, Marguerite Larson; her parents-in-law, Alfred and Effie Falkingham; and her sister- and brother-in-law, Delene and Maynard.

Ebba is survived by her children Leslie (Jerry) Yankee and Linda Falkingham and their families.

Ebba will be fondly remembered for her warm, talkative nature, radiant smile, and deep zest for life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who encouraged her family with unwavering love, guidance, and belief in their dreams. Her presence brought joy to all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt. If we ever wanted to know where she was, all we had to do was stop and wait a couple of minutes to hear her laugh, and follow it home.

The family extends thanks to the healthcare staff at Kamloops Seniors Village for the care and kindness shown to Ebba over the past two and a half years.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
