Eleanor Violet Wyness

Wyness, Eleanor Violet passed away peacefully at Williams Lake BC on August 3rd, 2025, at the fabulous age of 95.

Eleanor volunteered for Adra Canada from 1988 to 1998 along with her husband John, responsible for the shipping of clothing overseas to those in need.

She was a very active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She had a passion for helping with community services.

Eleanor and her husband John loved children and were Foster Parents for a time and also raised 6 of their own. She was an avid knitter and seamstress donating many of her beautiful creations. Eleanor was all about giving where it was needed. Her smile could light up a Christmas tree.

Eleanor is survived by her two sons Ian Wyness (Pat Thomas), William Wyness (Karen Wyness) and preceded in death by her loving husband John, her son Robert, her 3 daughters Pam, Jane and Heather. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, Yvette George, Janet Wyness, Robin (Wyness) Elsom, Jeffrey Wyness, James Sails, Andrew Sails, Alana Sails, Patrick Sails, Trevor Sails, Lesley (Crawford) Jeal and Cory Phillips. 20 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and Step grand and Great grand kids.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 17th at Kamloops Seventh Day Adventist Church, 364 Fortune Dr, Kamloops.
