Miss Eufemia G. Pascual passed away peacefully after a struggle with breast cancer at Penticton, BC on December 4, 2014 aged 40 years. Lovingly remembered by her brothers: Ildefonso, Cipriano Jr., Edwin, Cyprian, and her sisters Flordeliza, Ofelia, Anacleta, Teresita and Evangeline. Prayers will be recited on Friday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m. in Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Reverend Father Andrew L’Heureux will celebrate the Funeral Mass in the Cathedral on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Hello my name is Michael and as many of you know my wife Irene could not be here with us today, for she is saying good bye to her nanay…. So I will be speaking for her…

Irene is heart broken that she physically could not be here for Mhings celebration of life. But her heart and soul are…

Shortly after Mhing entering the hospices, Irene and Mhing spoke of this day. Irene broke down and cried that she might not be here for her when our Lord takes her home… With humbleness and love Mhing assured her it will all be ok…

Call it symbolic or sheer coincidence but Mhing joined our savior just as Irene was taking off in a plane to go home to the Philippines.

During our time on earth, it’s not the amount of time we have that matters. But rather how we chose to use the time we do have… With this said I would like us all to take a moment and reflect on how Mhing used her time to enrich our lives…

Ultimately Mhing may have lost her battle with life and our time with her cut short…. But in all reality she won something just as valuable, that will last forever… She won our hearts and touched our souls like only she could… She has left us with such a bright spirit and up lifting legacy, that will continue to touch us as we journey through life. I will forever remember her courage, strength, faith, humbleness, and her Heavenly cooking…

I will deeply miss her laugh, smile and unforgettable friendship… Peace be with you our dear Mhing…
