It is with great love and deep sadness we announce the passing of Greg Dams. After a hard-fought battle with cancer Greg took his last breath while resting peacefully with his loved ones by his side.
Born in Nelson, B.C. Greg in his early years moved to Kamloops, B.C where he grew up in Heffley Creek. He worked for CN Rail for 30 years where he retired at the young age of 55. During retirement Greg would often be found puttering around his beautifully landscaped yard, in his garage or taking his beloved wife Sheila on Sunday drives. He enjoyed quiet evenings on his porch and took joy in the simple pleasures of life. Greg had a great love for old cars, his own 68 Camaro winning best in show at Hot Nites in the City in 2019.
Greg is survived by his loving wife Sheila, his son Cory, his daughter Caroline, his son in law Lonny and his grandchildren Korbyn and Abigail. Along with many extended family and friends.
A heartfelt thanks to all the staff at RIH and the staff at Marjory Willoughby Hospice for the tender and compassionate cared he received. We can’t thank you enough for the gentle words and care we experienced.
At Gregs request no service will be held, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wheels of Hope.
You will forever be in our hearts
