It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Hardial Singh Bining on September 27, 2025, at his home in Kamloops, British Columbia, surrounded by his devoted family.
Born in 1941 in Nangal Khera, Phagwara, Punjab, to Naranjan Singh Bining and Rao Kaur Bining, Hardial lived a life defined by integrity, humility, and quiet strength.
A graduate of Ramgharia College, Phagwara, with a Bachelor of Science, Hardial embarked on his journey abroad in Glasgow, Scotland, where he began working as a respected double-decker bus driver.
In 1967, he married Devinder Bining, his lifelong partner and source of strength. Together, they raised four daughters: Manroop (Manjinder Singh Nahal), Anoop (Inderjit Singh Hundal), Sonia (Imtiaz Ali), and Sangam (late Bobby Bains).
In 1975, he moved to Kamloops to build a new life for his family and joined Tolko Industries, where he spent the bulk of his career. Throughout those years, he demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment, never missing a single day of work. His work ethic was matched only by the love and care he gave to his family, a true reflection of the integrity, perseverance, and kindness that defined his life.
Hardial was a man with a quick smile and was always the life of the party. He treated everyone with kindness, led with a calm and gentle spirit, and always strove to do what was right. Helping others came naturally to him, and his presence brought peace to those around him.
After a life-altering fall in 2016, he faced his challenges with grace and quiet resilience. The nurses who cared for him often remarked on his radiant smile, his unwavering positivity, and the warmth he shared, even in the face of pain.
He was a proud and loving grandfather to Priya Saroya, Kavita Nahal, Neelam Riar, Rajan Hundal, Jeevan Hundal, Sophia West, Taylor West, Ashaan Bains, and Anand Bains, each of whom brought joy and meaning to his life.
Hardial is survived by his wife Devinder, his daughters and sons-in-law, and his grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother Gurdial Singh Sufi, Gian Kaur Gill, and Surjit Sanghera, as well as his brother-in-law Amarjit Sanghera.
