Harold Willard Lewis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Willard Lewis, who left us peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 92.

Harold was a devoted husband to Elaine, and a loving father to Dayna (Brian), Laurie, and to his late children Allen and Charlene (Charlie). He was an incredibly proud grandfather to Tyler (Heather), Jennifer (Mike), Chelsea (Greg), Kristina (RJ), Brittney (Nick), Zachary (Georgia), and Caitlyn (Graedon), and a cherished great-grandfather to many, many great-grandkids who all adored their “Grandpa Harold.”

For 50 years, Harold owned and operated True Value Hardware, where his friendly smile, strong work ethic, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on generations of customers and friends. A proud and active member of the Lions Club, Harold believed deeply in giving back to his community and was honored as Citizen of the Year in 1993 — a recognition well deserved.

Harold was known for always having a loonie in his pocket for his grandkids and a joke (often a bit off-color) ready to make everyone laugh. His humor, kindness, and unwavering love for family and community will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Harold’s life will be held Dec 6th, at Chase Secondary School at 1PM.

He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and love — and a family who will forever miss the twinkle in his eye and his infectious grin.
