James (Jim) Frazer, 89, of Kamloops, BC, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at Royal Inland Hospital. Born in Nanaimo, BC, to Walter and Violet, Jim spent his early years there before marrying Gloria (née Sjoberg). He built a life and career across Edmonton, Calgary, and Kamloops, forming lasting friendships with neighbors, colleagues, and anyone who shared his love of baseball, golf, and witty banter.
Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gloria, and is survived by his children: Gord (Stella), Linda, and Christine (Owen); and his cherished grandchildren: Kyle, Connor, and Tia.
A pillar of the Kamloops community, Jim was a successful businessman, best known for Active Glass on Seymour Street. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends and always willing to offer help and kindness to those in need. When not reading a good book or enjoying a day at the golf course, he could be found cheering on the Blazers hockey team.
Jim’s quick wit, quirky humor, straight-shooting nature, and “get-it-done” attitude will be dearly missed. His impact on all who knew him will be fondly remembered.
We love you, and we’ll miss you.
Raise a glass, have a drink, and tell a good joke in his honor.
As per his wishes, no service will be held.
