It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Black, who died on June 23, 2026 in Kamloops at the age of 25.
John will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of sports and the special bond he shared with his beloved dog Rocky.
John is survived by his parents Warren and Pamela Black as well as his siblings Anneli Malcolm, Tristen Black and Rielly Black, his grandparents Ted and Tracey Black, Eric Makela and Beatrice Makela, as well as many aunts and uncles, cousins and his nephew.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to The Canadian Mental Health Association.
Though our hearts are broken, we will carry John's memory forward with love, compassion, and gratitude for the time we shared together. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
