Judith Ann Kembel (née Black) was born in New Westminster, BC, on October 19, 1946, and she passed away in Kamloops, BC, on April 2, 2026.
Judi was predeceased by her parents, Bob and Myrt Black. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Kembel; and her brothers, Bill (Hettie) Black and Jim (Linda) Black.
Judi led a very active life and was heavily involved as a volunteer in the Navy League Cadet Corps for many years, rising to the rank of Commander. In addition, she volunteered with the Sorrento Lions Club and spent countless hours serving the community.
Judi's early career was as a paramedic, both in Clearwater and while working at BCIT. She also worked at UBCO as Executive Secretary to the Director of the University.
Judi will be fondly remembered for her sense of duty and dedication and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
