“You can shed tears because they are gone, Or you can smile because they lived. You can close your eyes and pray they will come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all that they left for you. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see them. Or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday, You can remember only that they are gone, Or you can cherish their memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind and feel empty, Or you can do what they would want. Smile, Open your heart, Love...and go on. —Elizabeth Ammons

Laurie was a dear friend and the best dog uncle ever! We greatly admire the strength he showed in his hard fought battle with cancer.
If there is indeed an after life, we hope he has a steak sandwich in one hand, a fishing pole in the other and is with Shelby, Geisha, Oliver and Squeak.
Love and miss you!!!

We met Laurie and Joanne about 12 years ago. We had common interests - our dogs,(Geisha and Smokey), and golf. Laurie and Al hit it off with their fly fishing. Laurie made some wonderful flys for us.. They are out performing anything we have ever used.
RIP Laurie!

Laurie was one of my favorite people in the world. He was a kind, caring person with a great sense of humor.
He and Joanne became very close friends almost instantly after meeting in Arizona.
He will be missed by anyone who knew him.

Although I only met Laurie a handful of times in my life, I remember a gregarious man. Full of life. He was always smiling. His smile was infectious.

I believe that there are just so many special people put on this earth for a very short time. Laurie was one of them.

He will be forever missed and fondly remembered by all who had the good fortune to meet him.

Many hearts are heavy with sorrow for the loss of this kind generous soul, mine included.

God bless and keep you in his loving embrace.

I will always hold my favorite memories of Laurie behind the counter at his butcher shop and dancing at Nick's wedding in Prince Edward Island. He was a lovely and kind man.
