Lawrence Edward Mundall, age 81, passed away after a brief illness at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. He was born on August 30, 1944 in Glendale, California, to Raymond and Evelyn Mundall. After marrying Eva Lisa Korne, he graduated as a Medical Laboratory Technologist from the Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1967. Their first daughter, Lisa, was born while he was still attending college. Their second daughter, Julie, was born in Quincy, Washington, where the family had moved for his job at the hospital. His son, Mike, was born in Ashcroft, BC, in 1977.
He truly was a jack of all trades and worked as a mechanic, at the Lytton sawmill, and in logging. He was very musical and played the piano, trombone, saxophone, and accordion—and probably any other instrument he picked up. He spent many years living on the family farm in Lytton.
He was predeceased by both of his parents and his older brother, Bernie. He is survived by his children, Lisa Batts, Julie Mundall Cruz, and Christopher Michael Mundall.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Parish Hall (140 7th Street, Lytton, BC), followed by interment at the family cemetery at Earlscourt Farm.
