You were my best friend. I've known you over half my life. Thinking back on the adventures we had, the stories and jokes, the long conversations, the road trips and the quiet silences brings a smile to my face. All my best stories start with, "This one time, Lloyd and I...."
I am honored to have known you. You were a role model, a grandfather to my kids, you were an inspiration to me. You saved my life once, and now yours has passed, but I still think of you. I see you in my dreams sometimes, there like you always were, and I know that you will always be there, intrinsically a part of my life.
You always used to say, when you went to meet the creator, you would shake hand with Geronimo and Sitting Bull and all the warriors you wished to meet. To me you are as much a warrior as any of them, and I see you sitting there with them now, laughing and joking, hitting on the women, comparing scars and singing songs, and I smile, because I know you belong there. You finally did what you were always saying you would. You made it home.
