I worked with Matt in Fort St John.  What a wonderful human being.  Matt had so much character and integrity and he would always put others first before himself.  I miss him.

I can't believe this news!  I grew up going to PYPA (Prarie Young People's Association) with Matt.  He and I became friends and I remember his deep and passionate love for Christ.  Everyone who knew him respected him.  I was just trying to look him up and this is the last thing I expected to find!  If someone could be so kind as to let me know if he was sick or in an accident or how this happened I would appreciate it.  All my love to his family.

Matthew was a man of god, and a family man. He lived a pure life and was an extremely kind caring and compassionate person that would always be there if needed. Light hearted and always cracking jokes. With a smile to never be forgotten. Missed many years with you after school Matt but you will always be in my memories never to be forgotten. You have always been an inspiration to me, you have always been in my eyes what every man should strive to be. Loving, kind, compassionate, understanding, non judging, loyal and extremely spiritually connected to your God.  Love you and miss you Matt for all of time. 💞May your higher power bless your'e loved ones for the rest of time!🙏

This news has been shocking and it is hard to believe that the life of such a quality person would be cut short.  He truly was a quality individual.  I have been honored to have known Matt & Jill for more than a decade and pray that the peace of God will supply any need for the extended family just now.

Matt was an unbelievably genuine person. Moving to Kamloops for school meant facing the challenge of finding another place to live. Matt was the only landlord who took the time to call me and introduce himself. His calm demeanour was so reassuring. I knew I would be happy living there. My heart goes out to Jill, Seth and Keziah. Take care you guys.

It was my honor and pleasure to know Matt, as we met on a job in Blue River . He was one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to work with . A true professional at his craft and his down to earth nature made you want to be his friend.

Matt was our ray of sunshine at our workplace. He kept us on our toes, made each individual feel welcome and valued. He will be very missed. Corrine Reid and Charise Coutu.

I worked with Matt in FSJ. Sad to have heard the news. Matt was a geniune person who never tried to hide his faith, even in a place like the oil patch, where such beliefs were not widely shared.
