Don't think I've ever known a more dedicated or caring professional. The countless photos on the wall of your office were just a small reflection of the many lives you touched. Thank you for taking such great care of me and my family. We'll remember you always.

I will always remember his calm and gentle spirit.  I will also remember how he drove in to Kamloops to see his patients in hospital - a very dedicated doctor to the core.  He will be missed.

It is with deep sadness that I write these words today as a kind and gentle soul has passed.
I met Dr. Vagyi when I was only 2 years old and my parents had moved us to Chase BC.  As most youngsters I was quite curious and always getting into things I shouldn't have.  I was also very accident prone.   Crashing my bike, falling off the slide, twisting my ankle; every week or so it was something else and it always ended up the same way with a trip to Dr. Vagyi's office to get fixed up.  Ian, he would say, who did this to you?  How did this happen?   As you explained how you were trying to stand on your bike seat with no hands just to see if you could do it, he would work away fixing the scrapes, mending the fingers all the while intently listening to your stories.  
The relationships he crafted with his patients and their families extended way past the doctor's office.  No matter what time of day or night he was always there when you needed him in his fresh pressed suit and kind smile.  
I can say for a fact that I have never met a man more dedicated and devoted to his profession and doubt that I ever will.  His legacy lives on in the thousands of pictures that covered the walls of his office; each one a patient, each one a friend.  RIP my friend.

Such sad news to hear of your passing Dr.Vagyi, you taught me a lot when i was younger and my family will miss your smiles and chats RIP
