Ronald Louis Joseph Dupont

We are saddened to announce that Ronald Louis Joseph Dupont passed away in the Royal Inland Hospital on September 2, 2026. He leaves behind his wife Jeanette and his siblings; Claudette, Nadine, Suzanne (Bill), Alain (Ruth), Jacqueline, Marianne, Lorette (Jerry) and David (Maria). Ron married Jeanette in 2007 and they were deeply in love until his death.

He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; Lucien, Daniel, Craig, Pamela, Michelle Jacqueline, Nena, Sam, Christine, Jessica, Michelle Nicole and Christopher.

We want to thank the Doctors and Staff of the Royal Inland Hospital for their compassionate care during Ron’s final days.

Ron was a professional accountant and loved his work. In fact, he continued to work up until very shortly before his death, despite the many serious health challenges he faced so tenaciously.

Ron was born in Winnipeg. He worked and lived there until the late eighties at which point he moved to Fort McMurray. From there he moved to Kelowna which allowed him to indulge his love of sailing. He there learned and came to love down hill skiing, despite his earlier view of “who would want to jump off a mountain with two sticks tied to your feet”. He also took up mountain biking with a gusto! Ron worked for several recreation related companies in the North Okanagan over the years, his final position was with Jubilee RV, a place he was very happy.

He liked nothing better than a great meal, good wine and conversation with family and friends. We will all miss his quick wit, great sense of humour, and absolutely contagious belly laugh.

Ron will be missed tremendously, by all of us.
