Samuel Gilbert Moser

13 April, 194221 April, 2021

Samuel Gilbert Moser, Age 79, of Bordenave, Alberta, passed away on April 21, 2021 in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Sam was born to parents Franklin James Moser and Frostamay Moser (nee Andrews) on April 13, 1942. He was the 2nd youngest of 9 children. His siblings were Rosamay (m Peter Guzyk), Margaret (m Bill Ratzoy), Mary Ellen (m Joseph Berlinquette/m Leonard Dupperon), Alice (m Russell Larsen), James (m Eva LaPointe), William (m Jacqueline Mageau/Trudy Gerrard), Shirley (m Ernest Rocque) and Kathleen (m Ray Granstrom)

He married Judy Anne Wakal on October 16, 1965 in Edmonton, Alberta.

At the age of 16 years old he started working for CN Rail and developed a long successful management career with the railway. He continued to work for the railway after his retirement, contracting out to them and travelling to work in different countries.

He loved gardening, fishing, travelling and meeting new people. He loved to study history and wildlife. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He would laugh until he cried. He loved to fix things and he really loved a good bargain.

He loved his children and his grandchildren and would do anything for them.

Samuel is preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Frostamay and siblings - Rosamay, Mary Ellen and William.

Samuel is survived by his daughter Lesley (m Antonio Fidanza) and his son Michael (m Erin Spring); his 5 grandchildren Jordan, Hayden and Lauren Fidanza and Eden and Justus Moser; his siblings Margaret, Alice, James, Shirley and Kathleen.

He was proud of his history. He was proud to be a father, father-in-law, grandparent, brother & uncle to many nieces and nephews & a godfather.

We would like to thank his doctor Dr. F. Kruger and the wonderful nurses and support staff who took care of Sam at the Kamloops Seniors Village during his stay. After a long battle with PSP (Progressive Supra-Nuclear Palsy), he now is free and may he rest in peace.

You are loved and greatly missed.

To the family, sorry to read of your loss, but now he is no longer in pain. I worked alongside Sam at CN North Kamloops; he was tough but fair and would not ask you to do something that he would not do himself. All aboard the Golden Express next stop, Heaven! Till we meet again, may he rest in peace.
