It is with great sadness, that I have just learned of Sharon's passing.  For the better part of 8 years, I volunteered beside Sharon, writing for the adjudicators of the Kamloops Dance Festival.  She was a delightful co-writer and I can not imagine writing without her.  I will miss her smile and her delightful, quick sense of humor.

Sharon was one of the kindest and most genuine nurse that I had the pleasure of working with. When I was a very nervous nursing student new to the hospital Sharon was my 'life line'.  She was the nurse that I wanted to be. I feel very fortunate and privileged to have known her and will miss her humor and encouraging words.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sharon's heart and time was open to everyone, as was her smile. Her encouragement of young dancers continued long after Brandi-Ann and Jamie-Lee hung up their dance shoes. Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts will miss her enthusiasm and caring nature. Sharon touched many lives. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

One of the most beautiful women inside & out, that I have had the distinct honour to call my friend.

As I mourn this loss to our community, I am reminded of how much better we all are for having Sharon in our lives (even if we feel our time was too short). For without having known her, I would surely not be the mother, nurse, and woman that I am today. Her reach was vast. Her kindness was endless. Her spirit transcends. 
As a young woman, recently graduated from nursing school, she presented me with a gift. She had hoped I liked country music & thought I would find meaning in the song. I felt so honoured!  I recently came across this CD, and thought of her instantly. 
A few years later, she gave me another gift. This gift came after a particularly personal 3 AM conversation in the nursing station while on duty. Any nurse can attest to how well we get to know each other at this hour. I will never forget how deeply heard, seen, and understood I felt in that moment.
That was her true gift to me. Thank you for sharing your presence with me, it has meant more than you know.

Sharon was my favourite Mom to babysit for. I was happy to walk across the lawn from my house to hers and sleep on the couch at 5 a.m. when Jim left work, so the girls weren't alone, until Sharon came home. I always admired Sharon's calm nature and soft tone. She always had time to listen to my silly teenage problems that seemed so life-altering at the time.  Once grown & moved I always loved seeing The Milbradts when I came home.  You will be deeply missed by anyone who had the good fortune to know you.  My deepest sympathy to her family & friends. Gosh Sharon, I've looked up to you my whole career!  You were so lovely and stylish and gorgeous and funny and smart and talented and very fun to work with.  You had a silent old school class that evoked love and respect from all of us.  You will be sorely missed.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Sharon when I was a new graduate. The word "lovely" decribes Sharon well...she was just that...a lovely human being. I will always remember how Sharon was first in line to encourage and point out the strengths she saw in new nurses. Sharon was always ready with a warm smile to share with anyone in need. Her love for the less fortunate was so very evident and inspiring!!  Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven"  Sharon was a great example of how to live this verse. Sending my heartfelt condolences to the family. I am sorry for your loss. Sharon and I knew each other from work(R.I.H)and Sage Brush Theater. A fun loving and caring lady she will be missed.

Working with Sharon on 3South (early 80`s) was pure joy. I will never forget her infectious smile/laugh, amazing energy and dynamic personality. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I knew Sharon for three years since starting in DCS but she was the sweetest and most lovely person to be around. She always made me feel welcome there. I always enjoyed seeing her face in the staff room and chatting to her about her gardening and her successful daughters. Sharon was always generous and considerate to all of her colleagues. She even brought me a few pairs of her daughters Scrub lovers when I told her they were my favorite pants. I will miss seeing her at work. Her presence was always so comforting to be around. I'm very sorry to her family for their loss.

Some people you meet in life truly touch you...Sharon you were one of those people in my life. I was so fortunate to have you as my awesome neighbor, co-worker and dear friend. You brought so much joy to those that knew you...your kindness, compassion showed always. At work, your smile would light up the room and always made my day so much better! As, I sat down to gather my thoughts I couldn't pin point when I first met Sharon at RIH, but I do remember how encouraging and helpful she has been over the years. I was so pleased to see her up on the 4th floor .  It never failed you could rely on Sharon as she would always go out of her way to help nurses and patient's. Sharon, you'll be missed by many. Sharon was a dedicated,hard-working,charming nurse.We worked together closely to run the 3S ward daily before my retirement in 2008.
She was a devoted wife,mother & grandmother.She was so proud of her family & always share her family joy with all of us.
She was so ambitious & talented,I was always teasing her about how she can manage a business with her full time work schedule.Her designs were appreciated by lots of her co-workers.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Sharon's passing.  She was one of my favorite ushers at the Sagebrush Theatre - always smiling and always helpful.  She was a joy to work with either at the theatre or fund-raising at the park.  I will miss her deeply.  My sincere condolences to her family.

Auntie Sharon was a person beauty.  She loved like no other and had an amazing love for my uncle Jim.  I will always remember her beautiful smile.

Although I did not know know Sharon for a long period of time, I always enjoyed seeing her whenever I ran into her. She was always smiling, so cheerful. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Sharon was an amazing, strong, inspirational, compassionate person who never passed up an opportunity to flash a smile and dole out a hug!  I will always remember her with outstretched arms and a word of encouragement.  She has shown me so much kindness over the years, starting from when I was a brand new grad nurse to more recently through my own personal struggles.  She lit up more lives than she could ever know!  I also know that her family was the centre of her universe. Our break room at work was filled with giggles and stories when Sharon was on! To her dear family, please accept my condolences and know she has left a legacy of love and caring that is immeasurable.

We endured many evenings together when our daughters were dancing at Judy Hunter's.  Then later worked together on 3 South.  I have not known a sweeter and kinder human being than Sharon with her lovely smile.  We will miss you....

Jim, I am so shocked to hear of Sharon's death!  I really cant believe it as we were just together in late June.  She was a great friend and even though we were not able to get together often, we shared a bond that we both understood.  It was a joy to work with her on 3 south for so many years and I will always remember making costumes for the kids when they  were dancing all those years at the Dance Gallery. We had many great laughs together through those sessions.  
Her time spent with the Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts has been greatly appreciated and she will be very difficult to replace.
