William (Bill) Murray Evans, born May 19, 1941, in Winnipeg, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 in Kamloops on January 4, 2026. Bill lived a meaningful life, marked by kindness, community service, and a love for family, friends, and the outdoors.
A dedicated pharmacist, Bill was respected for his integrity, knowledge, and compassion, building lasting relationships with colleagues and friends. He loved traveling to warm places, golfing, and curling, and found special joy fishing the 'Ugly Hole' on the Bulkley River, which he held close to his heart.
Bill was actively involved with the Smithers Rotary and Lions Clubs, generously donating his time and supporting his community.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lois (nee Smithers); his brother John (Juanita); his sons Craig (Ada), Kelly (Mori), and Trevor (Katrina); his granddaughters Jillian, Alicia, and Bethany; his step-grandson Alex, and cat Moll (Molly).
The family would like to thank the staff at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops for their compassionate care.
