Sadly, Richard “Sne7kut” Jules of Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, passed away lovingly surrounded by his family. Rick left us on April 23, 2021 at the age of 71 in Kamloops, BC.

Rick is survived by his wife Judy Jules, his daughter Dana Jules, granddaughters Dayanara Jules and Savanna Jules, his sister Helen “Vivian” Jules (Reginald), his brother Robert Jules and his many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rick is predeceased by grandparents Joe Jules and Agnes Jules (nee Duncan), mother Maria Jules, sister Carol Blank (nee Jules), brother Timothy “Calfeye” Jules, daughter Tonia Jules, son Richard “Little Rick” Jules Jr.

Rick served his community for many years by holding a seat on the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Council. He was always proud of the many improvements made to his community and was honoured to be a part of the change.

People were crucial to Rick. He never hesitated to advise those in need, lend a strong arm, or extend a helping hand up.

His family was, above all, most important to him. He was always proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved that they would spoil him with all his favourite treats and spend time with him. He also cherished calls from friends and weekly visits with his chummies.

Condolences to Judy and Family,

Rick was a dear friend and a leader of the nation. He was kind to all and truly believed in his putting it all out there to make the community a better place. He worked tirelessly on unpopular files because he believed that they would make a positive difference for the people. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will live forever.

Condolences to Judy and family. Our Nations has lost a good man.
A while back I witnessed Rick and Judy mingling in a crowd. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the huge amount of Love and Respect Rick had for his wife Judy.
They both walked gently amongst the crowd, shaking hands, giving hugs and small chats. It was the twinkle in Rick's eyes and the big smile that said it all.
My family had a connection with Rick that was deeper then nationhood, it was called brotherhood. Thanks Judy for sharing your husband with our Nation. Roberta Morgan Moses

My memories go back to the friendship of our parents and grandparents and visits to his granny Agnes home. We had wonderful chats about the good old days. Through the years working at the KIR building, there were so humor and laughter and always a joy to see him with Judy, they were so caring and friendly. I feel so blessed for having known him through the years. My deepest condolence to Judy and the family from myself and my family. Love and caring, from Rita.
