Arthur was so kind and gentle
 He and pat would come to my nieces birthday party at the Renton road train station in Ewa and he would help the children on an off of the train in the court yard and the children adored him as he assisted them on and off of that train. He  and his wife Pat are so loved by all.  Such a wonderful man . Both great people. Our condolences to you Pat and to the family.

After the graduation, we drifted away.
Many years later,  i saw you. You had grown up so much...a good man.  And same sweet smile! That I remember well.

My condolences go out to my Cousin Pat Newalu & the Newalu & McCabe cousin’s. My memories of  Arthur is that no matter  how long the time in between that we hadn’t seen each he Always made me feel loved when I saw him. He engaged to ask of my family & how we were doing & always showed interest & concern of my life. That I appreciated & will hold dear to my heart!

Arthur was on left top and shy at that time. He began to learn his first language ASL with us there influenty. We can’t say Goodbye but Of course we say Aloha to Arthur always! We can imagine that he became Angel with shining halo saying ILY!

Wowie Arthur got plenty of aloha leis over head most beautiful! He enjoyed sharing Aloha  Spirit with us at HSDB for many years since we grow up together. We send our Aloha up to Arthur in heaven  by our hearts.

His message shows I LOVE YOU in ASL(American Sign Language) to All of you! He enjoyed with us eating and chatting with us in Las Vegas last time.

We enjoyed sharing laughing, senes of humor, and good times in the past and never forget his smiling and warm heart showing us!

Arthur Newalu graduated so exciting at Hawaii School for the Deaf and Blind( HSDB). His smile shines our hearts touching! We thanked him sharing wonderful memories together! He was very creative artist with his strength hands!

I have had the blessing of knowing Arthur, through his lovely wife, Pat, since 2002.  He was a steady presence in Pat's life and allowed her to do the important work that she has done in the world. He was truly the wind beneath her wings and was a rock for her. He offered so much through his quiet presence at many of our company events. I always knew that whatever kind of day Pat had at work, she would be able to come home to a loving husband who was devoted to her. One of my favorite memories is when she got off the phone with him one day and told me that he got bored so he decided to clean the ceiling. That was Arthur. He was always looking for ways to make their home a Haven. His presence will be missed by many who had the blessing to know and love Arthur and have him as a part of their life.  

Arthur,  your physical presence will always be missed.  You are now a Guardian Angel,  looking after Pat and all those who you loved and cared about.

He was my classmates, and i know him for many years…He was good man.  I never forget We flew to Japan in 1977, and We walked around in Tokyo.

At Hawaii School for the Deaf and Blind ( HSDB) We enjoyed practice ASL and dancing by instructors Diane Ichimasca and sister, Pat too! That’s how Arthur and Pat met first love until now! We really thanked Arthur for sharing good times.

We enjoyed with Arthur there fun and shared Aloha Spirit together in Las Vegas! We miss him!

By the lighthouse in Makapuu, I want to thank him for taking me and my wife to drive around on the windward side thru east of Honolulu. We had great time.

In San Diego for our friend’s wedding, how thoughtful of him for coming to Las Vegas from Hawaii, ofc. Then we drove to SD for 2 nights to meet our old schoolmates. We had fun at the wedding, after that we drove back to LV before his return home to Hawaii. Many thanks for many wonderful memories. 🤟🏼

At Diamond Head Crater, he guided me and my wife to walk up to the crater to view beautiful Waikiki. That was my first time. I was grateful of that. Many thanks, Arthur.

His first trip to Deaf Expo in the convention center at Mandelay Bay in Las Vegas in 2012. He had a wonderful time there cuz he enjoyed meeting many deaf people. It was good worth of it.
