Charles Lawrence Gauthe Sr.

Charles Lawrence “Larry” “Charlie” Gauthe Sr., 69, of Kailua, Oahu passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 with his entire family by his side. Larry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana where he then joined the Marine Corps. After becoming a proud Marine, he was then stationed at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii when he met Renee, “The love of his life” of 48 wonderful years and made Kailua his home. Larry was a beloved coach and a board member for many years with Kailua American Little League. He was also a member with The American Legion and a parish member of St. John Vianney Church. Larry worked at PWC Hawaii/NAVFAC Hawaii Transportation Department at Pearl Harbor where he was known as “Charlie”. He then happily retired after 42 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Renee Komatsu Gauthe; Son: Charles L “Charlie Boy” Gauthe Jr.; Daughters: Sharon Gauthe (Chris) and Cynthia Gauthe (Kawika); Grandchildren: Bryson Gauthe (Jana), Charnee’ Gauthe (Kialoa), Shailah-Ann Gauthe, Raven Gauthe-Santos, Racen Gauthe-Santos, Skylee Cabral, Lihau Kaui-Cabral (Ryan), La’akea Cabral; Great-Grandchildren: Kashton Gauthe-Kalama, Harley Gauthe-Kalama, Kaenan “The Chief” Gauthe-Kalama

Sisters: Debbie Nuccio, Beannie Folse, Bobette Gauthe, Charmaine Dodd, Lissa Hill, Cookie Gauthe, Tutu Daigle; Brother: Steven Nitz; numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. Preceded in Death Sisters: Diane Songy, Linda Snider; Brother: Bobby Gauthe Jr.

Services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 at: Hawaiian Memorial Park, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, HI 96744

Visitation 4:30pm – Service 5:30pm

Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at: Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery- Kaneohe, 45-349 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, HI 96744
