My deepest sympathy to Chez's ʻohana. He was more than just a friend from high school—he was a brother in arms. We shared many good times tossing the football around after school and shooting the breeze. His passing is a heavy reminder of how short life really is—he will be remembered.

Chez was a great young man. My heart is sore seeing this. I met him thru a previous employer office. I loved talking to him about his favorite Eagles team and his love of cooking. May you rest in love and peace

I can’t believe it, still and reading this invitation has made it even more real to us.

Chez, cheese ball, chest nut, cousin and older Braddah! From our very first laugh, cry and licking you’ve been a great example and one that will never be replicated! You truly were one of a kind I doubt there will ever be another chez in this world and if there is oh boy hahaha. 

You showed us how to be kolohe and get away with it, you were a perfect example for Josh and I on how to take the lickens and still some how some way still be kolohe again 10 minutes after getting rebuked by grandma Dunston. 

You Tash my dad and grandpa were my motivation to join the military and when I got out no matter how much time it been since we talked it’s like nothing changed. You helped me to deal with things no one else could see helped me express things not normal people would understand and for every challenge discipline and reward we shared you’ve gotten or I gotten it was all well worth every single second. 

I know you were in the Army and I was Navy but in each branch we have our core values and for the Navy ours is Honor Courage and Commitment and for the Army Loyalty Duty Respect Selfless Service Honor Integrity and Personal Courage!!! In our book you encompassed all of them!!!

In the Navy when we salute someone for their last time at a command retirement and when we put someone to rest we always say the same thing:

To a friend,best friend, nephew, grandson, cousin, brother and son Fair Winds and Following Seas, Rest in Peace Brother we who remain have the watch! The watch over our country our family our friends and all those who mean the world to us. Be at peace brother for your service is well done! 

Give grandma and grandpa a big hug and kiss from all of us and try not to give them too much stress before we get there!!!
