Kay Toshiko Honeychurch, aged 98, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, in Aiea, HI.
Born on January 11, 1927, in Yokohama, Japan, Toshiko was a diligent student who attended Yamate Business College in Yokohama. She met her future husband Frank E. Honeychurch, a US Navy sailor, instrument maker, and engineer in Yokohama.
They married in 1952 and relocated to Hawaii, where they designed and built their lifelong home in Aiea Heights.
Toshiko was kind, generous, and resourceful. Her life was dedicated to caring for her family, which was her greatest joy, alongside her fondness for sewing, reading, and puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Nola Honeychurch Rosa (Thomas, deceased), Judy Honeychurch Locke (Skip) and Rodney Honeychurch (Carol); 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank.
A memorial service will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park, Kaneohe on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, followed by the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM and a lunch reception from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
