Vivian Catherine Medeiros, a cherished and devoted individual, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on February 9, 1935, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Vivian was a compassionate, generous, and kind-hearted soul who touched the lives of many with her gentle nature.
Vivian was a resident of Kaneohe, Hawaii, where she was known for her loyalty and selflessness. Her early life was marked by a dedication to education, having graduated from high school and attended some college. She embarked on a diverse career path, working as a substitute teacher and a buyer for Liberty House. Vivian also demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit by selling Tupperware, Avon, Amway, and Kirby, and was self-employed.
In her personal life, Vivian was a devoted wife and mother. She raised six children with unwavering dedication, spending endless hours caring for her husband and family. Her marriage to Wallace P. Medeiros was a testament to her faithful and hard-working nature, never giving up on those she loved.
Vivian had a passion for crafting and enjoyed visiting open markets. She loved going to the theater, cruising, and cherished her outings. Her involvement in the community was highlighted by her membership in Saint Ann's Priory. Known for her thoughtful and honest demeanor, Vivian was a very good listener who never spoke ill of anyone.

Vivian is survived by her children: Catherine Shon, Wallace Medeiros, Donna T Kawamoto (Ross Kawamoto), Carolyn A. Miranda (Gregory S. Miranda), and Douglas Medeiros (Bobbie Medeiros). She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who will continue to cherish her memory.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Wallace P. Medeiros, and her son, Christopher Medeiros.
Vivian's life was a testament to her enduring qualities of kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering support for her family and community. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
There will be a visitation for Vivian on Monday March 30, 2026 at 9:00 am at Hawaiian Memorial Park Funeral Services, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe followed by a Service at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
