I remember him doing anything for his daughter , only now I can reflect back & truly understand.

What I miss most about Papa...
- how he would always stop what he was doing to play whatever I wanted with him
- sneaking up on him and throwing the giant ball at him
- when he would keep me company while eating
- when he would take me walking in the blue car around the block
- when he would BeyBlade battle with me
- how he would play all the sports with me in the front living room
- when he used to tickle me
- being at all my games and cheering me on

Things I always want to remember:
- Swimming at Hanauma and him pulling me on the raft to the reef
- UH baseball games and that one time he locked the keys in the car while it was still running.
- How he was our taxi driver and took us everywhere
- Watching UH Wahine Volleyball
- Yankee baseballs games togther
- How he could give me the play by play update on the game by memory
- Sunday morning breakfast with crispy bacon before church
- Riding along and going to work with him
- Stopping at the store in Waimanalo for a treat on the way home
- Family Dinners: hibachi days, mongo beef, tsukiyaki, beef stew with sweet potato, mochiko chicken
- Thanksgiving Dinners
- Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
- Christmas breakfast omlettes
- New Years Day food
- Birthday dinners
- His airy laugh and all his stories
- How great of a Papa he was: playing music with the kids, wearing the panda mask, goofy glasses, sports in the house with Kilinahe
-  How he's speak life into Kilinahe and Malie
- His hugs and his great big smile
- How he would clank in the kitchen, drag his feet in his slippers
- How handsome he'd look after his haircuts
- His favorite orange jacket
- How he never missed any of my high school games
- How awesome his hugs were




Driving to soccer games and laying down in the back of his truck and getting so sun burned from driving from Kahaku to Hawaii Kai.  Waking up to the smell of crispy bacon and trying to stay awake in church.
Him dropping us off to many trips to Kahala Mall. 
You having to repeat yourself over and over because he couldn't hear :)
His great big smile after every game, whether win or lose.
He was such an amazing guy, I will never drive by Waikele without thinking about his landscaping, there was a reason why the Lord reminded me of that.  

He was an amazing dad, a super grandpa, and always had the biggest smile on his face no matter what.  He took good care of us too, and took us everywhere.  We went to every UH baseball game, he took us to our band things at Niu Valley, he let us sleep over....always thinking we were such good girls.  

Only had if a few tiems but that Mongo steak is awesome.  It's been awhile but still stuck in the memories.  

He was the best thing about New Hope.  Every Sunday his welcoming smile and gentle hug.  I was so blown away when I found out he was your dad.  

All of my memories center around your dad's beautiful and warm smile.  He always greeted everyone so lovingly and even if it had been years since I last saw him, he always had a hug smile.  
I also rememer how proud he was to wach Kilinahe play.  He was so determined to be there in person.  And you and your children gave him so much to be proud about.  

One memory that I'll always remember about your Dad is......
during one of the many times your Dad gave us a ride, riding in the back of his truck.  We were on the freeway and we tried to get a drink out of the cooler.  We opened the cooler, the wind took the cover and it went flying, hit me on the forehead, and ended up on the road somewhere.  When we finally got to whereever we were going, we thought fro sure he would be mad.  But no, of course, he just laughed at us and smiled and did his shoulder shrug.  

Marz, you may have not takes as many pics as you wanted or asked every question but you are an amazing daughter to him all these years and he knows that and loves you so much.  He adored you as long as I can remember.  He was literally all of our dad at some point.  So many great membories of him and with him.

He definitely made thee best bacon ever.  And I had many many breakfasts at your dining table.  Remember when he locked the car keys in the Cadallac at the UH with the engine running?

His bright smile and big hug as I walked into church.  I'll never forget.  He's got it covered for God.  We got you Mar.  

One of my favorite memories is seeing your dad at the door of church on Sunday mornings.  A hug and a kind word for every single person that passed through those doors.  He must have impacted soooooo many lives just bydoing that small simple but completely loving gesture.  

We started attending New Hope in 2014 and were immediately drawn to his welcoming smile and gentle disposition.  Our granddaughter Kyla, who was 5 at the time was especially attracted to him and would excitedly await her Sunday greetigs.  We truly feel blessed to have known Uncle Walter.  

Dear Uncle Walter, 
I miss seeing you every Sunday at church.  I never got to see you for so long.  You were the main reason why I wanted to go to church.  When I saw you every Sunday I was so happy to go see you after my Grandma picked me up from the Ark.  You made church better and more exciting for me.  I would watch the clock waiting to see when I could see you.  I would tell my family all about my time at church and you were always the main part of the story.  Whenever we saw you, you were alwasy smiling and happy to greet us.  Almost every single Sunday from when I was 5 until I was 10 I went to church to see you.  I was so lucky to have met you.  

Jesus was the center of Uncle Walter's life, and it ws a beautiful sight to watch him 'beam' over the love of Jesus!  Such a valuable treasure and legacy.  

Uncle Walter made an incredible impact in all of our lives and will forever hold such a beautiful place in our hearts.  Sending you all so much love and comfort!

We will miss Uncle Walter's hugs and smiles.  Look foward to having him great us in heaven.

We are so grateful that we had the chance to know Walter and will truly miss him.  
Your husband/dad touched so many people with his love, hugs, and kindness.  We are parying that you wil find comfort in your memories of him.

You have followed God's work faithfully.  May God bless you.  We will miss your warm smile and big hugs.  We will miss you.  You have been a wonderful friend and you will always be in our lives.  

Walter will truly be missed.  He was always smiling and giving from his heart.  We celebrate his amazing life with all of you.  

Though we hardly saw each other, when we did, I remember him as very friendly and easy to talk with.  Always smiling.  When we grew up, we were in different generations - I remeber him visiting our house after he completed basic training in the Army (I think) and I was in elementary school.  Remember the good times you shared with him and all the laughable moments.  

your dad was such an amazing and devoted man.  He always had a smile on his face and  kind word to say to you, especially when you entered church on Sundays.  He will be missed so much. 

We will miss Uncle Walter's beaming smile and the way he loved so hard on everyone around him.  

We thank God for Walter - his kindness and hospitality towards us in the short period of time that we knew him.  Walter's light is shining on you.  

Walter (a giant of a man).  We will miss his smile and open arm hugs the most!  Thank you for your love for him.  He was kind, gentle and loving.  

Uncle Walter was always smiling and helpful when we crossed paths.  We will miss him but we know he is with our Lord!!! I see his smile in all the faces of his ohana and feel his presence when we look into the eyees of all of you.  

Uncle Walter was such a loving and caring person!  He always greeted us with the biggest hug and 'How you doing?'
I know Uncle loved the Lord and was one of his most faithful servants.  He's home clebrating the biggest homecoming heaven's ever seen and that brings me joy that our Lord Jesus is so incredibly awesome!

Uncle Walter will be missed.  I enjoyed serving at Children's Ark with him.  We talked about Kilinahe, the joy when he spoke of him.  God bless your ohana.  

Your father & husband was such a wonderful man - so humble and kind.  He will be missed.

Walter was 'One of a Kind' - Beautiful Person

I remember his toy airplane collection, his Judo classes in Kona, his climbing Jabon trees in Kona, and throwing down the fruit to me (he was about 15 year old).  Aunty Dorothy loved him unconditionally.
