

Aaron King Quinn, born September 1, 1938, in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his home on March 16, 2025, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of service, adventure, and laughter. A lifelong Kansas City, Kansas resident, Aaron’s love for life was evident in everything he did. His passion for adventure and the company of his family and friends defined him, always finding joy in the little things and making those around him smile with his wit and humor. As the family jokester, his presence was always a source of warmth and laughter.
Aaron's dedication to his community led him to a career with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, where he served for nearly 30 years, retiring as a detective. He didn’t stop there—his commitment to service continued as he returned to work security for the department for another 20 years. Throughout his career, Aaron specialized in Arson Investigation and was a certified Polygraph Examiner, among other specialties. His hard work and loyalty to his community were unmatched.
Outside of work, Aaron had a love for adventure that included boating, traveling, camping, and a passion for Corvettes and motorcycles, even if his wife was surprised by the delivery! He lived life to the fullest, always seeking new experiences and cherishing the time spent with those he loved.
Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Burle B. Quinn and Erma M. Quinn-Gardener. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol J. Quinn; daughters, Angel Harbison (Ken) and Ginger Zupan (Zach); granddaughter, Morgan Chadd (Tanner); his sister, Linney Quinn-Allen(Rusty); nieces Joy Van Holten, Gaylynn Wood, and Holly Prather, Father-in-Law and best bud, Royal Rader; numerous other nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were like family to him; and his beloved pup, Cadie.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112, at 3:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at a later date for the immediate family.
Aaron’s legacy of love, laughter, and selfless service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
