Alfred “Al” V. Hansen, 84, passed away April 23, 2013. A visitation will be held April 27th from 9:00-10:00 AM and funeral service at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Basehor. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden. Memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church of Basehor, 1410 N. 155th Street, Basehor, KS 66007.
Al was born to Lawrence and Gladys February 7, 1929. He married Doris Mason May 18, 1952. Al worked as a custodian for the Piper School District for 26 years before retiring. After retirement he continued to work part-time as a custodian for various churches in the community. During Al’s life he helped with “Lambs In” in Leavenworth, KS and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Al was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Chris and Lawrence, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Doris Hansen of 60 years; brothers, John Hansen and Raymond Hansen; sister, Delores Kempinger; daughters, Sandra Warczakoski and Linda Young; grandchildren, Brian Warczakoski and Matthew Warczakoski; and great-grandchild, Hunter Warczakoski.
