Andrew Lillich, 91, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on July 30th 2019. Visitation will be on Sunday August 4th from 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm.
Andrew Lillich was born on July 22nd, 1928 to Benjamin and Abbical Lillich. He graduated high school from Argentine with the Class of 1947. He worked for the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools as the Superintendent of Maintenance for many years. He was an active member and a Deacon for the Armourdale Baptist Church. He was also a handy man and seemed like he could fix everything. He was a great carpenter and completed several amazing wood projects.
Andrew was united in marriage to his beautiful wife, Wanda, on July 1st 1948. They were married for over 71 years. To this union, three children were born, Debby, Dee, and Andrew (Andy). Andrew loved to fish and garden and was an extremely hard working man. Andrew and Wanda were also in a part of square dancing group and would square dance across the country. Andrew was a wonderful man and was an example for his children and others on how to live and love. He would do anything for others, especially his wife Wanda, she cannot remember a time that Andrew ever told her no.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Abbical; brothers, Ben, Thomas, and Joe Lillich, and sister Abbie Lillich.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 71 years, Wanda; children, Debby (Walt) Swanson, Dee (Steve) Polson, and Andrew (Carmen) Lillich; grandchildren, Tara Henderson, Craig (Nicole) Swanson, Thomas (Kristen) Polson, Shane (Roxanne) Lillich, Mindy (Cary) Eldridge; nine great-grandchildren; sister Charlotte (Ruby) Enyeart; many nieces and nephews; and several other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospice House.
