

Brian Keith Hilt, Jr., passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas. Born on September 8,1991, in Kansas City, Kansas. Brian was a beloved son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Brian attended J.C. Harmon High School and pursued a career in tile setting and various other construction trades, proudly continuing the tradition as a third-generation tile setter. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as fishing, hiking, and camping. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, and his pride and joy was his son.
Brian’s passion for music led him to partner with his cousin, Steven Hernandez, a.k.a. Young LOC, to create the music label, Heat Productions. Known as Etrnl Mynd, Brian had a talent for writing powerful lyrics. He especially enjoyed collaborating with his cousin, finding that their combined e orts brought the music to life in a unique way. His impact will resonate through the fields of both his trade and his art, a true reflection of his steadfast dedication and limitless creativity.
Brian was a cherished individual who touched the lives of many. Known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit, he left significant mark on everyone he met.
Brian is survived by his son, Zachary Lee Long (Hilt); his stepdaughter, Kylie Gordon; his father, Brian K Hilt, Sr., his mother, Anna M Hernandez-Hilt (fiancé, Jose O Baez); his brothers, Juan Luke Ortiz (Sally Ann), Anthony Orlando Ortiz (Makenzie), Marcus Adam Ortiz (Danielle); his sisters, Salena M Hilt and Emma R. Hilt; his stepbrothers (soon to be), Maddox Barr, Jadmiel Baez, Elyiah Baez, and Levi Baez; his stepsisters (soon to be), Jocelyn Sky Baez and Adelia Baez; his grandmother, Jean Louderback; his nephews, Antonio and Fabian Ortiz; his nieces, Nuvia, Nissa, Nayelli, Nina, Renesmee, Gabriella, Siarra, and Alayna Ortiz; his uncles, Francisco C. Brian was preceded in death by his grandfather, Francisco C Hernandez, Sr., and his grandmothers, Alberta G. Hernandez and Connie Ann Hilt-Cardelli, and his beloved stepmother, Karyn S Carney.
Rest in peace, Brian. Your absence leaves a void that is impossible to fill, but your spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
A visitation for Brian will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home located at 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
