Byron W. (Sam) Cunningham, 92, Kansas City, Kansas passed away April 6, 2018. A visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. A graveside service will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Moose Charities, Inc., 155 N. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539.

Byron was an Air Force pilot in WWII. He then worked for Santa Fe Railroad and ended his career with TWA, retiring in 1987. He owned and operated from his home, Sam’s Automotive. Byron was a member of Moose Lodge 1999 and Austin Healey Club of Kansas City.

Byron was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Cunningham; son, Byron Cunningham; step-son, Loren (Kathy) Debus; step-daughter, Marie (Ray) Seetin; daughters, Carol and Joyce; several grandchildren and many other family members.
