Charles “Jake” Hogue, Sr., 69, passed away January 12, 2016. Jake was born June 27, 1946 to William and Rosie (Petrocco) Hogue in Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up in the KC area and married Brenda Folsom on June 30, 1967. Jake worked for Standard Motor Products for 21 years. During part of his life, he owned a farm where he enjoyed his trucks, tractors and caring for his animals. In his free time, Jake loved to go fishing, boating, hunting, gardening and going to Worlds of Fun. Jake was a devoted husband and father and took great pride in caring for his family.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosie; sister, Geri Northcutt and 2 siblings at a young age. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Charlene (Allen) Hobbs; sons, Charles L. “Jakie” (Molly Jones) Hogue, Jr. and Johnny (Rayna Graybill) Hogue; grandchildren, Mindy (Alex) Loginov, Kyle Hogue and Megan Hogue; great-grandbaby on the way and a brother, Eddie Hogue.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 18th from 6-8PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCKS 66112 and the funeral service will be Tuesday, January 19th at 2PM at the funeral home. Fond memories may be left online for the family at www.chapelhill-butler.com.
