Cheryl D Nick

Cheryl D. Nick, 50, of Kansas City, KS passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 16928 Evans Rd. Bonner Springs, KS. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, “Biker for Babies” in Memory of Cheryl D. Nick which will have their ride on September 19, 2010.

Cheryl was born on July 16, 1960 in Kansas City, MO to Russell Robert and Doris Jane (Talley) Moore. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1978. She worked 10 years for Ashgrove Materials, and participated with the March of Dimes, Biker for Babies. She enjoyed singing in her church choir and singing Karaoke. She also enjoyed her pastime cross stitching.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents and father in-law, William Nick. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Gary Nick; daughter, Crysta Nick; son Cody Nick and his wife Bailey; one sister, Cindy Hazen and her husband Karl of Shepherd, MT; two brothers, Randy Moore and his wife Kim of New Bern, NC, and Scott Moore and his wife Shelly of Wichita, KS. She will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.
