Dalila Maria Coots

Dalila Maria Coots, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, faithful sister, and benevolent aunt passed away peacefully on Monday, March 29th 2021 at age 72 in her home. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Both will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, North, 7207 MO-9, Kansas City, MO 64152. Mass will also be available to view live online at: https://vimeo.com/event/858716. Services will conclude at the church.

Born on June 11th, 1948 to Jose and Jovita Gonzalez in Apozol Zacatecas Mexico. She was the oldest of 10 children. Dalila was a free spirited beautiful soul, who was an avid giver to the less fortunate. Dalila loved animals as much as volunteering at church and the food pantry. Dalila loved to travel and encouraged her four children to do the same. In her spare time she would take walks and read her bible and enjoy going to the movies.

Dalila was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She moved to the United States at the young age of 22, looking for the best life for herself and her children. She loved her family and friends. Dalila moved to Kansas City MO in 1993 and started her career at Park Hill School District and retired after 20 plus years of service.

Dalila is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Jovita Gonzalez, her brothers Manuel and Juan Gonzalez. She is survived by her husband Richard Coots her two daughters, Patricia Garcia (Javier Garcia) and Delilah Green, and her two sons Frank Garcia (Kristina Garcia) and Fidel Green (Jennifer Green) and grandchildren Andy, Savannah, Rebecca, Eli, Lucas and Lauren. She also leaves behind seven siblings and 39 nieces and nephews.

El velorio se llevará acabo el lunes 5 de abril de 2021 de 9:30-10:30 am seguido de la misa de entierro cristiano a las 10:30 am. Ambos se llevarán a cabo en St. Therese Catholic Church, North, 7207 MO-9, Kansas City, MO 64152. Nació el 11 de Junio de 1948 de José y Jovita González en Apozol Zacatecas México.

Dalila era la mayor de 10 hermanos, era una alma hermosa de espíritu libre, que era una ávida que propecionaba ayuda a los menos afortunados. Dalila amaba a los animales tanto como ser voluntaria en la iglesia y la despensa de alimentos. A Dalila le encantaba viajar y animó a sus cuatro hijos a hacer lo mismo. En su tiempo libre caminaba, leía la Biblia y disfrutaba yendo al cine.

Dalila era una devota católica y miembro de la Iglesia Católica de Santa Teresa. Se mudó a los Estados Unidos a la temprana edad de 22 años, buscando la mejor vida para ella y sus hijos. Amaba a su familia y amigos. Dalila se mudó a Kansas City MO en 1993 y comenzó su carrera en el Distrito Escolar de Park Hill y se retiró después de más de 20 años de servicio.

Dalila es precedida en la muerte por sus padres, José y Jovita González, sus hermanos Manuel y Juan González. Le sobreviven su esposo Richard Coots, sus dos hijas, Patricia García (Javier García) y Delilah Green, y sus dos hijos Frank García (Kristina García) y Fidel Green (Jennifer Green) y sus nietos Andy, Savannah, Rebecca, Eli, Lucas y Lauren. También le sobreviven siete hermanos y 39 sobrinas y sobrinos.
