Esther Marie Ellington

Esther M. Ellington, 83, of Kansas City, Kansas Went to Heaven on August 23, 2013 to join her beloved husband, Gerald. They were married 60 years prior to his death in 2009. Esther died peacefully at Shawnee Mission Medical Center surrounded by her five daughters.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 27th from 1:00-2:00 PM with the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Susan G. Komen Foundation to celebrate Esther’s 42 years as a breast cancer survivor. Donations sent attention to Donor Services at Susan G. Komen, PO Box 650309, Houston, TX 75265.

Esther is preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Fisher; three brothers and two sisters. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Donna (Mike) Fisher, Teresa (Don) Mizell, Cynthia Hutchings (John Maze), Gerri Lynn (Tom) Skaggs, Linda (Richie) Hanes, 8 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
