Gerald D. Watson, 70, passed away Sat. Nov. 24th at Shawnee Mission Hospital. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:30 a.m., Wed., Nov. 28 at Chapel Hill Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Graveside services will follow the visitation in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Gerald was born March 22, 1942 in KCK to Curtis L. and Flossie M. Watson. He was a graduate of Wyandotte High School. Jerry later met and married Edith A. Wingette on Sept. 6, 1966 at his parent’s home in KC. They moved to Lenexa, KS when Gerald worked for Butler Paper Co., now Unisource for 28 years. He then went on to work for Fedex Ground for 5 years before retiring to a Senior Living Apartment in Lenexa.
Preceding him in death is his father Curtis L. Watson.
Gerald leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 46 years, Edith A. Watson of Lenexa, KS; his mother Flossie M. Watson of KCK; brothers Danny K. Watson of Tonganoxie, Rodney L. Watson and wife JoAnn of Shawnee; as well as many other relatives and friends.
