Irene M. Hoffman

Irene M. “Renne” Hoffman, 86, formerly of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9th, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kansas. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, where the rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Liberty Hospice.

Renne was born November 21, 1925 in Purdy, Missouri to Joseph M. & Mary Ann (Borusheski) Kresyman. She had lived in Kansas City, Kansas most of her life, until moving to Excelsior Springs in 1998. Renne was a member of the International Association of Chemical and Atomic Workers, working for Colgate Palmolive for over 20 years before retiring in 1970. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and a former member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Irene loved cooking and baking, especially cookies, which she often took to local Fire Departments. Her friends and family always looked forward to eating her Holiday Pies. In earlier years, she enjoyed working with ceramics and bowling, but she truly loved visiting the boats and traveling to Las Vegas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hoffman, when he died in 1994; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Survivors include her son, Elick Lynch & his wife Judy of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; 1 brother, Bill Kresyman & his wife Joan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Evelyn Kresyman of Roswell, New Mexico; 3 grandchildren, Lisa Leeper & her husband David, Lori Griffin & her husband Vince, and Elick M. Lynch; 2 step-grandchildren, Danny Christensen and Latisha Maiseroulle; 11 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandson.
