Janice Marie Boor

Janice Marie (McCully) Boor, 88, died peacefully on October 10, 2023, at The Piper Senior Living Center. She was born on October 13, 1934, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Donald McCully Sr. and Mildred (Alber) McCully.

Janice graduated from Bonner Springs High School, Class of 1952. She married Glenn A. Boor on December 16, 1960. They were married for 45 years. Together they raised Janice’s three sons. Janice worked in the banking industry for 38 years. She retired in 1998 as branch manager.

Janice volunteered with the Salvation Army for several years. Janice enjoyed spending time with her three sons and their families. She especially enjoyed being a grandma and spending time with her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed spending years with her friend Jerry Whitehead.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents Donald (Sr.) and Mildred (Alber) McCully; husband Glenn A. Boor; brother, Donald McCully Jr.; grandson, Scott O. Reynolds Jr. and friend Jerry Whitehead.

Janice is survived by her three sons, Scott O. Reynolds Sr. (Connie) of Tonganoxie, KS, Tim Reynolds of Kansas City, KS, Doug Reynolds (Jean) of Leavenworth, KS; Her grandchildren Stephanie Ford (Duane), Ben Reynolds, Jacob Reynolds (Miranda). Seven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held on October 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. preceding the service. The services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112. Pastor Kurt Witten will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janice’s name to The Salvation Army.
