John Barry Divine (JD), age 75, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at his home peacefully with his family by his side. He was born on March 6, 1948 in North Kansas City, Missouri. The son of John Marion and Colleen (Alexander) Divine.
He was a Parts Salesman through the years for Argentine Auto Supply, Santa Fe Transit, Peterbilt and Olathe Toyota. He drove for 1 year for the Johnson County School bus and for 1 year for the Kansas City Kansas School bus.
John enjoyed playing Fast Pitch underhand softball, watching all Kansas City Sports and Nascar. He loved racing his car at Lakeside. He loved his music and playing his drums.
Jon married his wife Debbie Lesher on May 22, 1982. They would have been married 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother Colleen in 1954, his sister Carmen in 1985 and his father John M in 1989.
Surviving are his wife Deborah, son Greg and daughter Hilarie. Along with 3 grandchildren: Skyla Divine, Ryan Divine Rogers and Amaya Richards.
A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112. A funeral services will occur Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home. With the burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
