I got to know the Herriott family when our sons were in grade school together. Many weekend over nighters and lots of fun and laughter! John was always such a polite and friendly young man. He cherished his friends and family. Such a talented boy when it came to fixing up anything with an engine. I will miss his beautiful smile and warm heart. May you Rest In Peace sweetheart. Gone way too soon. Thank you Lyann and John for giving us the privilege to know this amazing young man. Heaven has a new Angel. 

Although John’s life is not many years on this earth he was the son that filled my brother and his mama‘s life with so much joy I know that they will see him again and he will be remembered to his sister and his family and friends  that loved him.  You had so many special gifts and you loved  your family . You took care of your momma and kept my brother busy with all your cars boats airplanes 4 wheelers and motorcycles and  anything you could fix… Until we  will you again talk to grandad he would of loved to meet you , and all our family that there meeting you 

I had the privilege to work with John for a short time. Working with him gave me a different view besides seeing him through his dad’s loving eyes. He had the ability to see problems and work through them on the fly. The best part about it was the cool hand Luke smile at the end. His positive waves were infectious.  Thank you John and Lyann for raising such a great son.

I had the pleasure of meeting John when he was growing up as a young man.  This is a young soul gone too soon.  I am sorry for your loss. 

I’ve known John since he was a very young boy through my son Bus. Always a pleasure to be around. A bright, positive, ambitious and intelligent young man.  Very very mature for his age.  A true loss and one can only imagine what he could of gone on to achieve.  

I met you at one of my very first bonfires coming out here.  Your sister had invited me and you and your sister made that night one of the best nights I’ve ever had.  You will always be in our hearts.  Rest easy, John.

Survivors include his parents, John and Lyann Herriott; sister, Amanda Herriott; grandparents, Dorothy Glise, Deborah and Paul Redmond, and Violet Jacobs.
