Leonard was a Union roofer and was proud to belong to Roofers Local #20, he worked at several roofing companies and retired in 2009. He met and became friends with many fellow roofers, and was proud of his local Union, he met with a group of retired roofers every Wednesday for tacos. Most people who he grew up with called him Leonard – Barbara called him Gene and most of his roofing buddies knew him by Geno. He loved fishing and mushroom hunting. When wintertime came around, he would put many puzzles together. He loved taking care of the yard and raising plants. He loved his fish tank with his goldfish. He watched tv – old reruns, he read sports illustrated. When it came time for a little break, He and Barbara would go out to eat or visit with friends. Leonard loved and lived like there was no tomorrow, he will be greatly missed by so many…so to quote from a recent post: We live within borrowed time and walk in rented shoes. If we fade, we fade. But let us go out having loved, laughed and forgiven. This will never be goodbye but see you later.
