Linda Marie Scruggs

Linda Marie Scruggs was born December 2, 1956 in Kansas City, Kansas; to Eddie Scruggs and Carolyn Looney. The wake for Ms. Scruggs will be Friday, May 15th from 9:00-11:00AM with the funeral service at 11:00AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, 66112. Phone: 913-334-3366. Interment will follow services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

She was baptized at Roswell Church of Christ. Linda attended Sumner High School where she later received her GED. She loved her wrestling, playing games on her phone, her grandkids, and was the nicest person ever. Linda was an employee at Paseo Montessori Preschool & Baby Dots Daycare as a teacher.

Linda Scruggs departed this life on Sunday, May 3 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Price Scruggs; mother, Carolyn J. Looney West; uncle, Jerry Looney, Sr., brothers, Donald Parnell and Gregory Looney; sisters, Carolyn Mays, Marilyn Torres, and Rowen Davis; grandmother, Margaret Looney; nephew, Wilford Quinn, Jr.; and cousin, Jerry Lee Looney, Jr.

Linda was in a long-term relationship with James Becton, Sr. and throughout these years, six children were born: James Becton Jr. (Angie), Alicia Epperson (Terry), Sharon Scruggs, Corinda Parks (Payton), Bettina Scruggs (Martez), and Willie Scruggs (Briana). She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Joann Looney (James Henry); brothers, William Sappington, Vendon Scruggs, Steven Scruggs, James Carruthers, Aaron Looney, Sr. (Quay), Donnell Looney, Gary Looney (Rhonda) and James Looney, Jr.; sisters, Sharon Kay Scruggs Norwood, Gerlidine Carruthers, Juanita King (Harvey), Awana Taylor (Edward), Pamela Addey (Eddie), Jeanette West (Owen); thirty grandkids, and ten great- grandkids, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who loved her so much.
