Louise E Foster

Louise E. Foster, 96, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. A visitation will be held Friday, September 23rd from 3:00-4:00PM with the funeral at 4:00PM at Wyandotte County Christian Church, 13700 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas 66109. Interment will follow services at Stony Point Christian Cemetery, 149 South 78th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66111.

Louise was born April 13, 1920 in Washington, D.C. to Walter J. and Ellen M. (Action) Whitney. She graduated from high school in Washington D.C. and later moved to Kansas City, Kansas. She was a member of Grace Fellowship, Stony Point Christian and Wyandotte County Christian Church. Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family and anyone in need. She enjoyed being indoors, watching the Royals, and helping others. She volunteered a great amount of time as a friend of the Wyandotte county public library, a member of the Mary Martha Circle, teaching Sunday school classes and helping individuals in the community to earn their GED. If anyone ever needed encouragement or a kind word, they could always count on Louise.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Hal Foster and two sisters, Ann Jenkins and Molly Ringer. She is survived by a daughter, Marsha (Gary) Rogers, MD; a son, Walter Foster; grandchildren, Kelly (Chad) Baldwin and Jason (Bertha) Foster as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
