Lucille Peterson

Elizabeth “Lucille” Peterson of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2012. Lucille was born on April 2, 1925 in Kansas City, KS. Lucille attended and graduated from Wyandotte High School, where she played intramural basketball. She married Edward “Joe” Peterson on June 18, 1943. Together, they owned and operated Peterson TV in Kansas City, KS. She was an avid KU Basketball fan. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, of 65 years. She leaves behind her son Larry and wife Becky and children Erik and Emily of Toronto, Canada, son Chris Peterson and wife Mary and children Ben and Danny, and step-grandchildren, Beth, Jason, Jay, Erin, and Mara, two step-great-grandsons, Brennan, Madden, and step-great-granddaughter, Gracie, all from Kansas City, KS. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Peterson, Ben Peterson, Danny Peterson, Beth Fisher, Erin Rausch and David Ussery; honorary pallbearers will be Erik Peterson, Emily Peterson, Mara Holmes and Chris Peterson.
