Maria Lozoya-Demata, 72, passed away April 29, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2nd at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., KCK. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:30p.m., Friday, May 1st at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK, with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Maria was born May 13, 1942 in Durango, Mexico to Jose Chabriga and Guadalupe Lozoya. She enjoyed more than 50 years of marriage with Placido Mata before his passing. Maria moved to Kansas City in 2008 and attended St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was the heart of her family and was always taking care of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by seven sons, three daughters, thirty grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings and other family.
