Marie E. Land

Marie E. Land, 91, Kansas City, Kansas passed away February 8, 2018. A visitation will be from 1-2 PM with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Interment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice.

Marie was born July 6, 1926 in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1944. She was then married to Dale M. Land, and together they had six children. She was blessed to be a homemaker. Marie was a historian of her family and enjoyed gathering photos and making books in her spare time. She cherished spending time cooking, baking peanut butter cookies and spending time with her family.

Marie was preceded in passing by her parents, Christina and Ernest Mitchell; her husband, Dale; two brothers, Ralph and Bert; and sister, Ernestine Nelson.

Marie is survived by her six children, Laura (Tom) Heiling, Janet Snyder, Diana Billings, Bev (Robert) Moore, Richard (Colleen) Land and Tammy (Joe) Miller; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild on the way.
