Mary was born January 14, 1920 at Hoge, Kansas. Baptized at Holy Angels Church near Basehor, Kansas.
Mary died, March 25, 2024, at the age of 104.
Services to be held:
April 8th, Visitation will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 5:00 p.m.
April 9th, Mass will be at 10:00, at Christ the King Parish, 3024 N. 53rd St., Kansas City, KS 66104.
Burial will be at Holy Angels Cemetery, 11:30, 20573 179th St. Tonganoxie, KS 66086.
Following the graveside service, lunch will be served at 12:30, located at First Baptist Church of Basehor Hall, 1410 155th Street, Basehor, KS 66007.
Mary Margaret lived a full life. She was attended Timber Ridge School, a one room schoolhouse in Hoge, KS., then graduated from Tonganoxie, KS. She resided in Kansas City for over 50 years. She worked at Providence-St. Margaret Hospital in Kansas City, in the accounting department. Mary Margaret was a member of Christ the King, Kansas City, Kansas, she was a member of the Altar Society. She supported the Sisters of Servants of Mary, for over 60 years. She was the president of the guild for 40 years to the Sisters of Servants, helping in many fund raising activities, thousands of prayers for family, friends, and strangers. Mary’s faith was unmatched!
Her love of family ran very deep, she was a devoted daughter to her parents, brothers, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mary Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Reeves, her husband, Chester Hobbs; Her parents, Thomas Francis Davoren and Elizabeth Ann McGraw
Her brothers, James Francis Davoren and Ambrose Joseph Davoren. Her beloved McGraw cousins.
Mary Margaret is survived by her son, Thomas Michael Reeves (Karen); grandsons, Sean Alan Reeves and Joshua Daniel Reeves (Melisa); great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Gatica, Harley Reeves, Devon Reeves, Declan Reeves; her nieces and nephews, Cathy Chiles, John Davoren, Rose Nemchik, Barbara Powers, Donald Davoren, and Beth Ann Davoren.
In lieu of flowers, her wish was for donations to be sent to the Sister Servants of Mary, at 800 N. 18th Street, Kansas City, KS 66102
