Mary Nancy Palcher

Mary Nancy Palcher, 90, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home. The Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, at 2203 Parallel, in Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at 701 North 94th Street, in Kansas City, Kansas. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Church where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Nancy was born December 11, 1924, in Kansas City Kansas, the daughter of Roselino and Marianna Cotitta. She had been an Avon Lady for over 50 years and had been an owner of Mar-Nan Janitorial Services. Nancy was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament where she was a former president of the Altar Society, a member of the Parish Council, a longtime Girl Scout Leader and a past president of the PTO at Blessed Sacrament School and Bishop Ward High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie and a daughter, Annie Kern. Nancy is survived by her children and their spouses, Bill Palcher, Tom Palcher, Nancy Marie Cariglio, Joan Palcher, Gloria and Van Davison, Mary Lynn and Larry Yeatman, Margie and Bill Stump, Sharon and Al Strayhall, Rosie and Russ Phillips, her siblings and their spouses, Bob and Sonja Cotitta, Theresa Ann and Mel Gates, Joe Cotitta, 26 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
